Lobster and Foie Gras – OMG!!!

Ben surprised me for my birthday with tickets to see “Wicked” followed by dinner at Luce, which he chose based on its recent garnering of 1 Michelin Star. I’d heard great things about the musical, even from guys that hate musicals, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The restaurant, on the other hand, exceeded expectations. After splurging with drinks – a glass of Moet White Star - we decided to order the tasting menu with wine pairings. The waiter informed us that we’d have 7 2-oz. pours with the 9 courses. I’m certain that most of the pours were way more generous than 2oz. I was a little bit wary of the menu since it was heavier on seafood than I usually like, but I was willing to try. With the exception of the oyster course, it was phenomenal – and only because I don’t like oysters. My favorites were the vegetable courses and Ben’s favorite was the lobster and foie gras – mostly because I gave him my portion of foie gras! We’ll be back to check out their a la carte menu as well as visiting in the spring to sample their spring tasting menu. Amuse-bouche
